Position Overview
The Project Officer will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising all field activities. The role involves ensuring timely and quality implementation of project interventions, coordinating with field teams and stakeholders, maintaining documentation, and supporting reporting and monitoring efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and day-to-day implementation of project activities in the field.
- Support in community mobilization, beneficiary identification, and verification processes.
- Coordinate closely with the Technical Officer, MEAL Officer, and Hygiene Promoters to ensure smooth implementation of project components.
- Supervise field activities to ensure adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, distributions, and community meetings.
- Ensure effective coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and women’s groups.
- Support the preparation of weekly progress reports, field visit notes, and documentation of lessons learned.
- Facilitate the organization of awareness sessions, distributions, and feedback meetings.
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to gender-sensitive and protection principles.
- Support in monitoring, reporting, and collection of success stories and photos for visibility.
- Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination or field implementation, preferably in emergency or humanitarian projects.
- Experience in community mobilization, beneficiary engagement, and coordination with local authorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good report writing and data management abilities.
- Fluency in Pashto and Urdu; English proficiency is an advantage.
- Preference will be given to Female candidates from District Buner.
Duration and Duty Station
This is a one-month position, based in District Buner, with regular visits to project sites for coordination and monitoring.
